I just love
this eloquent column by Garrison Keillor about Minnesota loosing Northwest Airlines. His words echo my feelings. As ugly as the corporation
Northwest has become, the airline
Northwest Orient will live on as a romantic memory. I spent the first 22 years of my life in Minnesota. That airline was a huge focal point in my life. All I ever wanted to do was escape childhood and go be around airplanes, preferably ones with red tails. As the end of Northwest draws closer and closer I can honestly say I will mourn the loss of my hometown airline.
