17-34

The Broncos aren't going to Detroit next Sunday, and it's a darn shame. The amount of pride this city has for it's beast of burden is incredible, that is, when they're winning. I shouldn't say that, Denverites love their sports and they love their Broncos. I would have to say one of the most significant differences between Denver and the Twin Cities, is the culture in Denver is sports based, whereas, the culture in the Twin Cities is much more artsy. Either way, it's nice to see the hometown team in the top 5. :-)

Last night Smay and I left work early to go out on a Saturday night live civilized folk. We had drinks and dinner at Zengo in Riverfront Park. The atmosphere was really very nice but the food was underwhelming. The calamari was quite good but the empinadas and shrimp tempura rolls were uninspiring. The drinks were a bit too pricey.

We enjoyed a night cap at Don's mixed drinks (Denver's oldest tavern.)

Like an old married couple we retreated to my place to watch movies. We watched Two for the Money and Into the Blue. I thought Two for the Money was poignant and griping. Into the Blue was nail biting at first but grew predictable towards the end.

I would have to say we had a lovely evening.
