home

I am going home tonight. I haven’t been back to Minnesota since last June. I believe this is the longest I have been away from Minnesota.

dorothy, stop the room from spinning!

It's always interesting to see the things people come up with to do when they are broke. I am broke. It's quite eerie how much money I haven't been spending lately. I need to employ this sort of thriftiness when I am not as broke. I always feel like the whole world is out partying the weekends that I find myself too broke to enjoy the splendors of weekend life. This past weekend was no exception. I received several beckoning calls to join various Friday and Saturday night gala's, but I was so unable. It seems that when I have adequate cash to fund a weekend night out I don't receive half as many invites.

Friday night, as the world was squeaking into their dancing jeans and donning their tight t-shirts, I was on my way to Mancini's for quick cocktail or two. Once I arrived, we took a quick vote, and opted for season 3 of Sex in the City and Vodka soda with a slash of orange juice. Four episodes and two very tall ones later I took my exit. Laying in bed that night, I couldn’t help notice that the goddamned room was spinning. I hate that feeling, I really do.

bye nick

It really should have been Santino kicked off the runway with that awful jumpsuit he made, but then again I am not in fashion.

There has not been a tremendous amount going on in the life of Pat. I am dead ass poor, so I haven't had much of a social life lately. Julie and her friend Kristen, from D.C., came over Wednesday night to watch project runway. We had Watercourse for take out. It was delicious as usual.

27

Yesterday I turned 27. I am now in my late twenties. A bunch of us enjoyed a very efficient and tasty dinner at Thai Basil, then drank the night away at Sputnik. It was a very enjoyable evening. We finished the night up at Smays. Here's to 27!

Andrae + rug dress = OUT (a project runway update)

Why couldn’t they have kicked that little whiney Nick off! It's really quite a shame. Andrae is very talented, but in competition you can be seamless, (no pun intended) then have a minor hiccup, and you're shit canned! Making a dress out of live plants sounded miserable. I had to laugh at the judges, who seemed somewhat disappointed that their was a lack of flowers used. If I was there I would have told those muthas "why don’t YOU try and make a fucking dress out of a philadendra!" jeez!

ual exits!

The longest and most expensive airline bankruptcy in history has come to a close. After over three years under bankruptcy protection UAL exited the process today.
